Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualifications and Experience:
- Engineer (D) (Mechanical Engineer): Full Time M.E./M. Tech. in Mechanical/Industrial/Production Engineering/Equivalent with 60% aggregate marks, OR Ph.D. in Mechanical/Industrial/Production Engineering with experience in Modern machining technologies & CAD/CAM/CAE. Minimum 2 years’ experience in managing a modern Machine Shop/Tool Room of a medium or large-scale manufacturing/production industry is required.
- Junior Engineer (B) [Mechanical]: Full time Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (60% aggregate marks) and knowledge of personal computers and applications. Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing plant/Tool Room/Machine shop/Metal fabrication shop having CNC machines is required.
- Tradesman (B) [Carpenter]: National Trade Certificate (NTC) with 60% marks and two years’ experience OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) with 60% marks and one year experience in the relevant field.
- Tradesman (B) [Fitter]: National Trade Certificate (NTC) with 60% marks and two years’ experience OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) with 60% marks and one year experience in the relevant field.
- Tradesman (B) [Machinist – Miller]: National Trade Certificate (NTC) with 60% marks and two years’ experience OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) with 60% marks and one year experience in the relevant field.
- Project Scientific Officer (C): Full time Degree (BE/B.Tech with 60% marks) in Electronics / Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. 1 year post-graduation experience in the design, development, and debugging of high-speed analog, digital or FPGA/RFSOC-based electronic systems is required.

Procedure to Apply:
Applications for the TIFR Recruitment 2026 must be submitted ONLY ON-LINE by 16 May 2026. Incomplete online applications will not be considered. Applicants from Government/Semi-Government/Public Sector Undertaking/Autonomous bodies must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the competent authority at the time of the selection process.
