Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualifications (As on 01.08.2026):
- For All Other Posts: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
- Junior Statistical Officer (JSO): Bachelor’s Degree with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level, OR a Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
- Statistical Investigator Grade-II: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics or Mathematics or Economics or Demography or Population Studies or Operation Research or Information Technology or Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Computer Technology or Computer Application or Data Science or Artificial Intelligence.
- Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer (Pay Level-8): Essential is a Bachelor’s Degree. Desirable is a CA, CMA, CS, M.Com, MBA (Finance), or Masters in Business Economics/Studies.
- Note: Candidates in their final year of graduation can apply, but must possess the essential qualification as of 01.08.2026.
Age Limit (As on 01.08.2026):
- Age Limits vary by post, generally ranging from 18-27 years up to 18-32 years, depending on the Pay Level.
- Age Relaxation: Relaxations are available for reserved categories (SC/ST: 5 years, OBC: 3 years, PwBD: 10/13/15 years, ESM: 3 years after deduction of military service) as per Government of India norms.
Selection Process:
The selection is based on a Computer Based Examination conducted in two Tiers:
- Tier-I
- Tier-II
- Normalization: Marks scored in the Computer Based Examination (if conducted in multiple shifts) will be normalized.

Procedure to Apply (Online Application):
Applications must be submitted in online mode only at the new SSC website:
- Candidates who have not generated a One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new website (https://ssc.gov.in) must do so.
- Fill the application form, ensuring the photograph is captured directly using the application module (no pre-existing photos) and the scanned signature is uploaded correctly.
- Submit the application and pay the requisite fee online by the deadline of 23.06.2026.
- A window for application form correction will be available from 29.06.2026 to 01.07.2026, subject to a correction charge.
