Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications:

  • Plant Operator: HSC (10+2) or ISC with Science Stream (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
  • Other Trades (Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Electrician, Fitter, Turner, Machinist, Welder): SSC (10th) with minimum 50% marks in Science and Mathematics individually, AND a 2-year ITI certificate in the relevant trade. (For trades less than 2 years, 1 year relevant working experience after course completion is required).

Stipend and Emoluments (ST/TN):

  • Training Period (2 years): Stipend of ₹20,000/month (1st year) and ₹22,000/month (2nd year), plus a one-time book allowance of ₹3,000.
  • On Absorption (Post-Training): Technician/B in Pay Level – 03 (Pay in the Pay Matrix: ₹21,700/-). Approximate monthly emoluments are ₹34,720/- (Pay + DA @ 60%).

Selection Process:

The selection involves an Online Examination consisting of two stages:

  • Stage 1 – Preliminary Test (Screening): 50 multiple-choice questions (Maths: 20, Science: 20, General Awareness: 10). Qualifying standards: UR-40%; SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/EWS/PwBD-30%.
  • Stage 2 – Advanced Test (Merit List): 50 multiple-choice questions (Syllabus related to HSC (10+2)/ISC level for Plant Operator and relevant ITI trade for others). Qualifying standards: UR-30%; SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/EWS/PwBD-20%.
  • A merit list is prepared based on scores in the Advanced Test.
  • Stage 3 – Document Verification: Candidates are shortlisted based on the Advanced Test merit list.
