Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualifications (as on 01.08.2026):
- For Junior Hindi Translator/Junior Translation Officer/Junior Translator (Codes ‘A’ to ‘C’): Master’s degree in Hindi with English as a compulsory/elective subject/medium at the degree level; OR Master’s degree in English with Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject/medium at the degree level; OR Master’s degree in any subject (other than Hindi or English) with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory/elective subject/medium at the degree level; OR Master’s degree in any subject (other than Hindi or English) with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject/medium at the degree level; OR Master’s Degree in any subject (other than Hindi or English) with Hindi and English as compulsory/elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory/elective subject at degree level.
- And Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa or two years’ experience of translation work in a Central or State Government Office.
- For Senior Hindi Translator/Senior Translator (Code ‘D’): The same Master’s degree requirements as above.

Selection Process:
- Paper-I (Computer Based Examination): Objective Type (General Hindi and General English, 200 marks total).

- Paper-II (Descriptive): Translation & Essay (200 Marks).
- Final selection will be based on performance in both Paper-I (50% weightage) and Paper-II (100% weightage), and post preference.
